Storyline:

This new, extra chapter of _Walking with Dinosaurs (1999) (TV)_ focuses on an allosaurus later discovered in 1999 affectionately called "Big Al", who died as a late adolescent/early adult of six years of age. Narrated by Kenneth Branagh, who also narrated the original series.

A follow up to the WALKING WITH DINOSAURS documentary, featuring the amazing computer animation that made its predecessor so popular. With a focus on the Allosaurus, the fearsome flesh-eating thunder lizard similar to the Tyrannosaurus Rex, this special explores the 12-meter monster that terrorized the late Jurassic Period. Equipped with huge serrated teeth designed for ripping the flesh from the bone, no more terrifying predator was seen in the dinosaur world until the advent of the T. Rex, some 75 million years later. Made in association with the BBC and The Discovery Channel.

Life was hard in the Jurassic age, even for a large dinosaur at the top of the food chain. A few years ago, the most complete allosaurus skeleton ever found was discovered in Wyoming. The bones tells a surprisingly detailed biography of one individual dinosaur, Big Al, as he came to be known by the scientists who pieced together his story. The creators of Walking With Dinosaurs have vividly recreated this 15-year story from birth to death using the same computer graphic and animatronic techniques that stunned viewers throughout the world when they saw the original series.
