The city has two sons. Only one can rule The Hill.
Welcome to "The Hill," an Irish working-class neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island -- a place where mothers choose favorites, wives keep secrets, and friends are won and lost by the deals that they make. And while Tommy Caffee pursues ambitions as a rising star in politics, Michael Caffee seeks power the only way he knows how -- within the gritty underworld of violence and crime.
Set in an Irish neighbourhood in Providence, the series reflects around two brothers on opposite sides of the law: one a gangster (Jason Isaacs) and the other a politician (Jason Clarke).
The Showtime original series BROTHERHOOD offers a fascinating spin on the well-worn crime-drama genre with the Cain-and-Abel story of two brothers on opposite sides of the law. Created by Blake Masters and based on the real-life case of the Bulger brothers, the series takes place in an Irish-American, working-class neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island, known as The Hill, where Tommy Caffee (Jason Clarke) is a straightlaced, up-and-coming politician while his brother Michael (Jason Isaacs) aspires to be the biggest crime boss in the gangster underworld.
A taut character study punctuated by scenes of SOPRANOS-like violence, BROTHERHOOD's first season is presented in its entirety with this collection of 11 episodes.
