Storyline:

Driving Miss Daisy (1990): tells of genteel but strong willed Altanta matron Daisy and per patient but equally determined chauffeur Hoke. Hoke Colburn sits in the front seat with his hands on the wheel, but the driver's seat is behind him. That's where Miss Daisy sits. She doesn't want a chauffeur and she won't give in. Neither will Hoke. For two so different, they have a lot in common. And the bumpy road they travel leads to the friendship of a lifetime.

The Color Purple (1985): Based on Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, "The Color Purple" is the richly textured, decades-spanning story of Celie, and uneducated woman living in the rural American south. Forced to marry a brutal man she calls "Mr.," Celie turns inward and shares her grief only with God. But she is transformed by the friendship of two remarkable women, acquiring self-worth...and the strength to forgive.

Malcolm X (1992): Dramatic true-life tale of the controversial leader. He rose from the dregs of society, spent time in jail, reeducated himself and, through spiritual enlightenment, rose to the top.
